Adopting a tree provides huge visual appeal and can significantly enhance the design of a streetscape. Planting trees remains one of the most cost-effective ways of drawing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. It's why Keep Miami Gardens Beautiful is having a free Arbor Day Drive-Thru Tree Giveaway on May 1st from 8 to 11 am (or until the trees run out) at Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex. Participants will be given two trees of their choosing from a list of over a dozen varieties. The quantities vary so they'll be distributed on a first come first serve basis. No rain checks.
