About us
The Capital Improvement Department is responsible for the development of the programs, schedules and budgets for all of the building projects that are in the City's comprehensive development plan. The projects include improvements to all of the parks, police building, city offices and arts in public places installations.
The department manages the architects, engineers, testing labs and construction contractors that are responsible for the design and construction for all of these city projects.
Services
The purpose of capital projects is to improve the City’s permanent cultural infrastructure and quality of life. The City of Miami Gardens Department of Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) is responsible for the organization, facilitation, and overall management of all of the City’s capital projects. The Department oversees the planning, design, bidding, budgeting, and complete construction of all of the City’s major construction projects.
