Intergovernmental Section


The Intergovernmental Section, which consists of one Captain, one Sergeant and the Community Enrichment Team (CET) officers, specialize in working closely with community members, local organizations and citizens to identify problem-solving measures to address issues and concerns in an effort to improve quality of life. Code Enforcement serves under the supervision of the CET Captain.


Intergovernmental Section provides the department the ability to work with the community to address crime trends, quality of life issues, and problem solve with social services, criminal justice and faith based partners where the ultimate goal is building a safer community.

2. How Can I become more involved in my community?
Contact any member of the CET and they can provide you with information regarding volunteer opportunities, becoming a member of a Crime Watch group in your community or requesting the Police Department to attend Homeowner’s Association meetings.

3. What are the requirements for a Ride-Along?
Complete the form, include Driver License information, and give approval for a criminal background check.

4. How many officers do you have in the CET Unit?

The Unit has 14 officers, 1 sergeant and 1 captain.

5. Can the officers come to my school for career day?
The officers make a lot of presentations at all schools in the community. Your teacher or principal can make the request to the Chief of Police and we can coordinate their appearance.
